Our ProgramsFeline FundAbout the Feline Fund and Application Form… Animal Aide Outaouais (AAO) is working to help eliminate pet overpopulation.
Since its inception in 2004, the Feline Fund has assisted local rescue groups and individuals caring for abandoned cats by paying the cost to have 57 cats spayed or neutered, ensuring them a better life as well as helping to reduce the problem of pet overpopulation in the Outaouais. However, in order to continue our efforts in this important cause, we need your help! Please consider donating to the Feline Fund…
Please help stray cats like Darwin to find a better life.
Yes, I want to help by giving to the feline fund. Special General FundThe Special General Fund was set up in 2004 to provide financial assistance to cat and dog rescue groups in the Outaouais for special situations. For example, AAO was able to reimburse the cost of euthanasia of a very sick stray cat. Companion Animal Education Program
The Companion Animal Education Program is presented by Animal Aide Outaouais (AAO) volunteers) to elementary school children in Gatineau to provide an understanding of humane treatment of companion animals, safety issues around pets and what it means to be a responsible pet owner. The program (approx. 50 minutes) encourages students to take an active role and includes several strategies to achieve a positive learning experience, including videos, overheads and age appropriate handouts along with a well-behaved canine (subject to school's permission and availability). “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” Pictured here is a Lord Aylmer School student learning how to meet Gwen (the dog) in a safe manner.
