Deskunking a Dog

It is highly recommended having these products available just in case you need them, as skunks travel at night and it may be hard to find a drugstore open after midnight.

The ingredients cost less than $5.00 but worth a million
in the end!

Mix in a large bowl:

1 quart (approx. 1 litre) 3% hydrogen peroxide
(Use fresh (unopened) hydrogen peroxide)
1/4 cup (50 ml) Baking Soda
1 teaspoon pet shampoo or liquid soap
1 pair of plastic or latex gloves

Bath your dog thoroughly making sure to spread it to all of the fur possible. Tie a hand towel around the dog's eyes to get his face and snout washed.

Wait 5-10 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.
